The Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) says it will continue the nationwide strike until the Federal Government and State Governors comply with its demands. The Nigerian Bar Association in a bid to resolve the issue, had a meeting with the National Officers of JUSUN on Thursday, 8th April 2021 to properly strategize and synergize the age-long partnership of both bodies on the critical issue of achieving financial autonomy for the Nigerian Judiciary.

Sequel to the above, the President of the Nigerian Bar Association  NBA – Mr. Olumide Akpata has given directives to the Chairmen of all the branches of the NBA to effectively mobilise their members with effect from Monday 19th April 2021, and every other Mondays, to visit the Governor of their respective States at the Government House, until the Governors comply with the demand for financial autonomy of the Judiciary.

This was stated in a statement signed by the NBA Publicity Secretary, Dr. Rapulu Nduka.
