Two persons perished Monday morning, while another sustained various degree of injuries as a petrol laden tanker with apparent brake failure rammed into shops on its descent around the Ubuluku Agbor axis of the Asaba-Benin highway, in Delta State.
The ghastly crash moved everyone to tears as woman with three kids, who just bent down to pick up water bottles was crushed under the tanker as she tried getting to her own shop.
An eye witness who identified himself as Bright told our correspondent that the crash occurred around 10:55am, said that the driver of the trailer which was coming from one end of the highway lost control as a result of brake failure, leading to the death of innocent citizens who left their houses in search of their daily bread.
